In addition to teaching and leading by example, Jesus Christ performed many miracles when He lived on earth as a mortal man and continues to work miracles today. His miracles show that He really is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and has power over nature, demons, sickness, and even death. Because His miracles were so well-known, Jesus Himself pointed to them as verification that He came from God. As He told His disciples , But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.(John 5:36). There were many miracles was performed by Jesus Christ, including his birth and resurrection. Below is a partial list of miracles that Jesus performed during his ministry, as recorded in the New Testament of the Bible.
1) Healing of the Nobleman’s son ( John 4:46-54)
The nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum went and asked Jesus to come and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth and the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. The son began to be healed from that hour. This is another example of gradual healing. The fever left him and the whole household believed household salvation.
2)The Sinful Woman: Luke 7:36-50
This woman was spiritually sick and came to Jesus publicly. She also needed emotional healing in her social relationships. Her broken spirit of devotion was an act of faith resulting in forgiveness. Jesus forgive her sin and gave her peace .

This is the account of Jesus walking on the water. This miracles show us promise of God to help us in the storms of life. Jesus came to the disciples and stilled the storm. This miracles make the discipline learn and understand that they could put their trust completely in Him, the One who had control over the wind and the sea. We, too, will grow in our confidence that Jesus can see us through any storm as we grow in the understanding of His great power and love for us.

The dead man was the only son of a widowed mother who lived in the city of Nain. Many people accompanied her in the funeral procession. Jesus had compassion and told her not to weep. He touched the funeral coffin and said, “Young man, I say unto thee, arise.” The young man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus delivered him to his mother. The people glorified God and called Jesus “a great prophet.”. This story shows us that our Father is loving and merciful.
6) Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand ( Matthew 14:13-21)
When Jesus instructed his disciples to give the people something to eat, they argued with him. hey looked at their own resources and saw no way to feed the crowd. But with Jesus, there is always a way. Jesus ordered the crowd to sit down in groups of fifty. He took the five loaves and two fish ,looked up to heaven, gave thanks to God his Father, and passed them to his disciples to be distributed. He wanted his disciples to look to him as the solution, but instead all they could see was the problem. If you believe, there is nothing that God can’t supply or do.
7) Centurion’s servant healed (Matthew 8:5-13)
Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” And Jesus asked him shall I come and heal him. Although the centurion viewed himself as unworthy, he understood authority. Je-sus offered to come, but the centurion said, “Speak the word only and my servant will be healed.”Jesus was willing. 8) The Healing at the Pool (John 5:1-47)
This man had been physically sick for 38 years. He seemed to be angry with other people and without hope. These are some of the emotional effects of illness. This man had spiritual sickness as well as physical illness. Jesus asked him, “Wilt thou be made whole?” Let us analyze these words:”Wilt” called for a decision. Some people do not want healing. Perhaps they enjoy the attention or other benefits of sickness. Perhaps they desire to go be with the Lord.”Thou” focused on the involvement of the individual seeking healing. Faith of the sick is one channel through which healing can come. This man needed to be made whole. He had resentment for others, because he said, “No man helps me in the water.” This resentment was blocking the flow of the power of God. This man needed to break with the past. He had lain there for thirty-eight years. He needed to move into the realm of faith. Jesus called him out of his situation into that which he could not do in himself. He could continue to lay there hoping to eventually be first in the water and remaining in the pattern of the past thirty-eight years, or he could rise up and do that which he could not do in himself. This man had a provision for physical relapse. It was his bed. This is why Jesus told him to take it up. He would not need it anymore.

The Bible states that she believed she would be healed if only she could touch him. Her hope of healing led her to push her way through the crowd so that she might touch Jesus. As she believed , she was healed The moment the woman touched Jesus’ cloak, the Bible says she was healed. She knew that she had received powerful healing from Jesus and she realized she would no longer have to live with the constant flow of bleeding.
10) Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy( Mark 1:40-45)
This passage teaches us that we are all created in the image of God. In the story, Jesus is followed closely by his many companions. However, when he is approached by a leper, whom is socially unaccepted, Jesus treats him with the same level of respect as all of the other men. He also fulfill the leper request to grant him healing. This teaches us all that God created us all in his likeness and we are all equally loved by God no matter what physical or mental condition we may be in.
